Available a new version of EPUBCheck
Research and development
A new version of EPUBCheck, the conformance checker for EPUB publications, is now available.
This is a production-ready release, which can be used to check conformance to EPUB 3.3, the new version of EPUB format which is becoming the official standard of W3C.
You can download EPUBCheck v5.0.0 at the following page: github.com/w3c/epubcheck/releases/tag/v5.0.0
The full change log is also available on the release page, with a list of new features and bug fixes.
EPUBCheck is a free command-line validation tool that automatically checks EPUB publications for conformance to the standard.
It reports issues that are in violation of the requirements of the standard and/or that could cause a publication not to open or render in reading systems. It is therefore an indispensable tool for publishers to sell their digital publications on the market.
