In November, Milan will become a reference point for the discussion on accessibility, thanks to two events by Fondazione LIA that will bring together professionals in the publishing sector and accessibility experts from all over the world: the Board Meeting of the DAISY Consortium and the second edition of the Accessibility Camp.

Fondazione LIA will host the annual Board Meeting of the DAISY Consortium, which brings together many organizations specialized in accessibility for people with visual disabilities.

The meeting will be held in Milan on November 3rd – 4th, returning again in attendance since 2019, and it will bring together more than 30 accessibility experts from all over the world.

The relationship between LIA and DAISY has consolidated over the years and it is now very strong. LIA was the first in the world to understand the possibilities offered by EPUB as a unique format for the production of born-accessible e-books and DAISY, in the recent years, has worked in the same direction. Fondazione LIA is an associate member of DAISY Consortium since 2018 and will participate in the working groups as an expert partner.
