Accessibility Metadata and Export. A webinar for publishers
Conferences
Livres Canada Books organises a webinar that will provide guidance on producing, distributing, and displaying accessibility metadata for digital book sales in the European market, hosted by Fondazione LIA.
This webinar is the follow-up of a previous one organised in November 2023.
Discoverability and distribution have been identified as major challenges in accessible publishing. With the implementation of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), Canadian publishers need more tools and support to incorporate accessibility metadata in their feeds.
Building on the information provided in November webinar, this session will provide further guidance on more detailed technical aspects of accessibility metadata, such as:
- how to express the accessibility features of your titles in ONIX format;
- how to communicate the accessibility of your publications to end users in a simple way;
- how to leverage EPUB metadata to associate accessibility metadata with their files.
Cristina Mussinelli, General Secretary of Fondazione LIA, and Gregorio Pellegrino, Chief Accessibility Officer of LIA, will be the speakers of the webinar.
Info
February 8th, at 1:00 PM EST
This live webinar will be followed by a Q&A period with the hosts.
