Webinar “Industry Updates / Expert Perspectives”

Canada, Accessible Publishing Summit 2021

The National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) organises the third edition of the Canadian Summit over accessible publishing. International experts will join the panel’s discussion on the opportunities, challenges, and advancements that are happening in accessible publishing, within their area of expertise.

The National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) organises the third edition of the Canadian Summit over accessible publishing. International experts will join the panel’s discussion on accessible metadata.
The presence of helpful metadata helps people easily discover information that they want or need. Accessibility metadata is particularly useful for people with print disabilities, but it is not always present or accurate; and even if it is, it is not always carried on through the full chain of distribution.

Webinar “Towards an accessible digital publishing ecosystem”

Keio Research Institute at SFC, in collaboration with Fondazione LIA, organises an online seminar concerning the accessibility of digital contents and the related legislation. The meeting is aimed specifically at the members, including Japanese main publishing groups such as Kadokawa Corporation, Kodansha Ltd., Shogakukan Inc., Shueisha Inc., Digital Publishing Initiatives Japan.
Keio Research Institute at SFC is an important Japanese centre involved in research and innovation, promoting the adoption of open standards and software.
