The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has launched the EPUBCheck website, where it is possible to download the latest release of the tool and find the documentation and useful resources about it: https://www.w3.org/publishing/epubcheck/

EPUBCheck is the official conformance checker for EPUB publications and it is an essential tool for publishers. Owned by W3C, it evaluates if an EPUB publication is compliant with the requirements defined in the EPUB specifications.

It was also released a maintenance release of EPUBCheck, which provides complete support for checking conformance to the EPUB 3.2 family of specifications. Version 4.2.5 adds several new checks for Media Overlays, updates the HTML schemas to the latest version available, and includes various other bug fixes and adjustments.

This release was made for the W3C by the DAISY Consortium (with the support of Fondazione LIA).
