Fondazione LIA is now registered with the Italian Third Sector Register

What's new

At the end of 2025, Fondazione LIA completed the registration with the “Registro Unico Nazionale del Terzo Settore” (RUNTS), with Repertory No. 162240, and has officially become “Fondazione LIA ETS”.

The RUNTS is the Italian public register for organizations recognized as Third Sector Entities (ETS).

Registration allows organizations to access funding opportunities and collaborations with Public Administration bodies, which are often reserved only for registered entities. For Fondazione LIA, this step represents an important milestone that strengthens its role within the Italian non-profit ecosystem.

What this means for LIA’s future

Becoming an ETS means strengthening the Foundation’s social impact, encouraging collaboration with institutions and public and private organizations, and ensuring management that is increasingly structured, responsible, and focused on the common good.

This choice reinforces LIA’s commitment to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and the diffusion of reading for everyone.

At the time of registration, the Foundation’s Statute was updated to fully comply with the Third Sector reform. The new version more clearly highlights that the Foundation works for purposes of general interest and uses its resources in a proper and transparent way.
