Ask the Expert. What AI can do in Accessible Publishing?

Conferences

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the publishing industry, introducing innovative tools to optimize workflows and potentially enhance the accessibility of digital publications. However, alongside these opportunities come challenges and questions that require a thoughtful and responsible approach.

Ask the Expert: AI Opportunities and Challenges in Accessible Publishing

This session aims to shed light on what AI can truly offer in the field of accessible digital publishing. Participants will gain a balanced perspective: on one hand, the potential of AI to make editorial content more inclusive; on the other, its current challenges and the risks associated with its misuse.

Gregorio Pellegrino, Chief Accessibility Officer at Fondazione LIA, will explore the opportunities and challenges of AI in digital publishing, drawing on his extensive experience in accessibility research and development.

A valuable opportunity to understand where and how AI can be effectively integrated into accessibility strategies, helping to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future for publishing.

The event will be hosted by Katie Durand (Fédération des Aveugles et Amblyopes de France).
